Council Nominations

The Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for three vacancies on Council for a 3-year term effective January 2025-December 2027. Please consider running for a position or nominating another member.

The SAMRT Council is made up of 3 government appointed representatives, and 8 elected MRT members.

Nominations close at noon on Friday, March 29, 2024.

Awards Nominations
The SAMRT Awards Committee is seeking nominations for two categories. The award recipients will be announced at the Education and AGM Conference on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Nominations close at noon on Friday, March 29, 2024.

1. Clinical Excellence Award
This award recognizes an active member who has practiced for at least 3 years. This individual provides exemplary direct care to patients in medical radiation technology while also providing respectful, efficient, effective, safe and ethical care. As a clinical expert, they participate in the development of new
knowledge or research and promote the profession by example of clinical excellence to others.

2. Mentorship Award
This award recognizes an active member who promotes the profession by being an excellent mentor to others. This individual directly participates in activities that promote education and development of medical radiological technology students, colleagues, and other healthcare providers.
