Registration

Initial Application – License and Membership

To practice in Saskatchewan as an MRIP, you must be registered as a practicing member of CMRIPS.

Initial Application: All applicants for any license type must submit an initial application. First time license applicants of any class will be charged a non-refundable registration fee which must accompany the initial application.

Note: All documents must be uploaded and where required, sent to the CMRIPS Office in order to proceed with the application.

Jurisprudence Program

As regulated health professionals, medical radiation and imaging professionals are governed by laws, legislation, and ethics. All registrants of the College are accountable to, and responsible for, the decisions they make while under the jurisdiction of the College and its rules. As such, all registrants are required to complete a course in jurisprudence approved by the College. This Jurisprudence Course ensures that applicants are aware of the legislation that governs their practice in Saskatchewan. There is no charge to complete this course.

The course consists of six modules that provide an overview of relevant regulations and laws. Some modules include a case study and multiple-choice questions at the end of the module. Once all modules have been completed applicants are required to complete a final 40-question multiple choice exam. Once an applicant has successfully challenged the exam with a pass rate of 75% or higher, they will be able to access a certificate of completion. This certificate will need to be uploaded to the applicant’s CMRIPS application before license approval can be completed.

Upon submission of a CMRIPS application, applicants will receive an email that contains the link to the jurisprudence course.

  • Applicants do not need to complete the course in one sitting; the system will save your progress, and you can return to complete the course later

  • Applicants have unlimited re-writes until a successful result of 75% or higher is achieved

  • Any issues accessing the jurisprudence module or questions can be directed to info@cmrips.org.
