In accordance with The Medical Radiation and Imaging Professionals Act it is the duty of the College to serve and protect the public and to exercise its powers and discharge its responsibilities in the public interest and not in the interest of its members. The College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Professionals regulates members from the following five disciplines:
Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Magnetic Resonance Technology
Medical Radiation Therapy
Medical Radiological Technology
Nuclear Medicine Technology
The objective of the CMRIPS is to regulate the practice of these professions and to govern the members in accordance with the Act and the bylaws; and to assure the public of the knowledge, skill, proficiency and competency of members in the practice of medical radiation technology and diagnostic medical sonography.
To protect the public by demonstrating regulatory excellence of medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals in the province of Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan public has confidence in safe quality medical imaging and radiation therapy delivered by highly skilled and regulated professionals.
